...here he is, this past Halloween. Its been a while since I posted his pictures so I thought I'd put one up. Also, he's about to loose his title as 'one and only' -- he has a baby brother on the way! And a cousin on the way too, a little girl! Congrats so much to my brother and sister in law and my sister and brother in law!

A Little Girl Called Hope:

Who she is and how and why
this blog came to be...

Dear readers,

Normally I don't preach too often but this much I know for sure - that God is Good and He knows what He is doing even if it doesn't look like it, and that even if it doesn't seem like He is listening - He is. God does not forget us -not one of us- not ever.

As you know many many months ago I ran across the page of a little girl that I fell in love with and wanted to adopt but by the law of her country I couldn't. I called her Hope. She had Cerebral Palsy, and at almost five she had been living in a Ukrainian Orphanage. Clicking on the title of this message will take you to the original posting.

The story told of her states she is an aware, active, very loving and highly functioning child, who could walk, talk run and play. Hope was even mainstreamed with the 'typical' kids. However, in some East European countries children in orphanages with disabilities like hers often get sent away to Institutions at an early age of about four or five years old, and the conditions at these institutions are, by word of some of their own medical staff, not humane or fit to live in.

This was Hope's future. But it isn't anymore.

Hope has a family. A wonderful, loving family whom I truly believe has always been her family, has found her. The love they already have for her is truly amazing to see.
